Amante 1530 was conceived two years ago when Sting, Trudie Styler, Ana Rosenstein, Richard Kirshenbaum, and Barry Rosenstein gathered at their Il Palagio estate in Tuscany. Their vision was to create an innovative and modern bitter for shared enjoyment. Involving Len Tessler, Stuart Ellman, and Michael Kassan, they brought Amante 1530 to life, finalizing the formula at the historic Pallini Distillery in Rome. The international launch took place simultaneously in New York, Rome, Venice, and Los Angeles.
I was front and center at the Italian launch during a Cocktail Party at Bulgari Hotel Roma, witnessing Sting perform with Italian musical talent Giordana Angi. What a moment!
Amante 1530, with notes of candied orange, oolong tea, ginger, honeysuckle, and baked apples, offers a nuanced sweetness and a subtle bitter finish. Already available in the U.S. since September, it will hit major Italian cities by October, followed by the rest of Europe in spring 2024.
Sting conveyed a message of connection, reverence, passion, love, joy, and fun during the launch, concluding with a live performance of “Message in a Bottle.” It was an extraordinary experience to interview him during this event.
